“Appalachian Spring” – Three Performances

Two beloved favorites inspired by folk music – Vaughan Williams Fantasia on “Greensleeves” and Aaron Copland’s tender “Appalachian Spring” – along with the 1940 Clarinet Concerto by the 19-year-old Ruth Gipps, composed as her fiancé and others departed for war.
