Nov. 16 at 4 p.m. and Nov. 17 at 4 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, Richmond

New selections and old favorites in an eclectic blend of musical styles, including spirituals, jazz, show tunes, and popular music with accompaniment by professional instrumentalists. Presenting a facilitated discussion of diversity-related issues at 3 p.m., before each concert.

The GreenSpring Harp Ensemble presents harp and children’s choir music to benefit the community and food bank. No tickets, just a free-will offering of a non-perishable food item.

Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights

Nov. 18 through Jan. 5, 2025, at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, Richmond

Millions of lights throughout the Garden celebrate interconnected environments. This year’s theme, Homes & Habitats: A Celebration of Connection, explores where nature and community intertwine. Rex Richardson Jazz Concert

Nov. 19, 7 p.m., at The Cultural Arts Center, Glen Allen

From his days as a sideman with legendary jazz saxophonist Joe Henderson to his current roles as a Yamaha Performing Artist and Professor of Trumpet and Jazz Studies at VCU, Richardson has earned accolades as a “genre-busting” international trumpet virtuoso for his playing in both the jazz and classical realms.
