An Evening with Steve Bassett

The long-time musician demonstrates the roots of southern rock, soul, gospel, blues, and jazz. He has performed throughout the U.S. but is especially appreciated in Virginia, notably as co-author with Robbin Thompson of “Sweet Virginia Breeze,” the official popular state song.

Chesterfield County’s Veterans Day event focuses on music in the military. Musicians play the songs of the military branches as the audience learns how these patriotic songs connect veterans across generations.
