RVA Time Machine: Parker Field

By Boomer Staff | July 21st, 2016

Boomer flashes back in time and remembers Parker Field.

Before The Diamond existed, locals watched baseball at Parker Field, a multi-use outdoor stadium in Richmond. The stadium seated about 9,500 and was constructed in 1934.

Adolph B. Rice Studio took the photo Sept. 15, 1957. The picture is from the courtesy of the Library of Virginia.
