Rentable Hot Tubs in Floyd County

Imagine going for a wintertime dip in a hot tub, blanketing yourself in warm, percolating water despite the frigid air – and basking in the knowledge that maintaining the tub is someone else’s responsibility. Then picture a romantic getaway, a setting where you and your partner can relax in the warmth, enjoying each other’s company, surrounded by nature and mood lighting from a nearby fire pit.

This can be your experience at the Oasis at Oak Haven Lodge in Floyd, Virginia, either as a guest of the lodge or simply passing through. Roughly 3½ hours from Richmond, the lodge offers a unique opportunity for visitors to rent their own slice of “oasis.”

“It’s a time to unplug,” said Judy Bryant, the owner of the lodge and hot tubs. “You can’t have electronics in the hot tub, so I think it’s a good time to communicate and be ever present.”

Two private hot tubs allow for the perfect getaway. Each tub sits behind a private fence with inviting decorations and candles.

Bryant believes this amenity, offered nowhere else in the area, provides an opportunity for visitors to find a respite, a retreat – to relax in a private setting.

Puzzled about taking a watery dip during the cold season? Consider the legendary Scandinavian hot tubs or the popularity of outdoor hot tubs at ski resorts. Worried about changing in the cold? Don’t fret, because there’s a changing room nearby, and when you hop out of the tub, you can throw on a robe to stay warm.

When you leave the steamy tub, Bryant said, it will look like you left “the stress in the hot tub.”

You can dip in year-round for an hourly fee of $15 per person. Bryant’s Oak Haven Lodge also offers guest rooms and suites. Stay and play among the celebrated music, arts, local foods and outdoor recreation of Floyd County.

The tubs and lodge are located at 323 Webb Mills Road (Route 8), Floyd.
