First Annual Diamond Dig

Join us for the First Annual Diamond Dig to benefit the American Cancer Society for your chance to win a 1 carat round brilliant classic diamond from Diamonds Direct. A total of 50 carats worth of gemstones, varying from Aquamarines, Blue Topaz, Citrines, Smoky Black and Brown Quartz, Peridot and Garnet will also be in our sandbox for digging. Be sure to stick around after the Diamond Dig for the Rock & Roll Summer Concert at West Broad Village featuring Even Better Than the Real Thing, U2 Tribute Band. The concert starts at 7PM on “The Pad” next to the Aloft Hotel.

Buckets of sand can be reserved for $40. Only 1,000 reserved 4 1/2″ diam. x 5″ buckets will be available for this event. We encourage you to reserve your bucket in advance through our event website.

How it works: Grab a bucket and take a scoop out of our giant sandbox. You’ll then move to the sifting station to see if you have won the grand prize diamond or other gemstones. If you have won a gemstone you will receive your prize that evening. The winner of the grand prize diamond will work directly with Diamonds Direct on a pick-up time. The actual diamond will not be on site July 28th.

Registration will close at 8:00 PM (no exceptions). If you are in line by 8:00 PM you will dig.

Diamond Dig event is rain or shine.

Rules of the event:
The money received for buckets not used the day of the event will be considered a donation. No digging will be done on the individual’s behalf. Please bring a photo ID to registration. Unauthorized pickups are not permitted. All bucket donations are final. There will be no returns or refunds.

Only one scoop per bucket. No one may scoop more than 5 buckets at a time. There is a limit of 10 buckets per person. Each participant will have a limit of 20 seconds to scoop. There will be a line and it’s first come first serve. Employees and those family members living in their household are not eligible to dig.

Reminder: Gemstones will be onsite. The grand prize diamond will not be available on July 28th. Winner will work directly with Diamonds Direct following sifting to arrange a time to pick up the diamond.

Participants do not keep the bucket.
