March 15 to April 7 at the Theatre Gym at the November Theatre, Richmond
In theatre legend Zero Mostel’s painting studio, a naïve reporter attempts to interview the famously volatile artist, prompting an explosion of memory, humor, outrage, and juicy backstage lore. Virginia Repertory Theatre in partnership with Weinstein JCC Jewish Family Theatre.
“Julia Child: A Recipe for Life”
March 16 to Sept. 2 at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture, Richmond
The exhibition highlighting the popular chef will make its only East Coast stop on a national tour at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture. Including video, audio, photographs, memorabilia, recreated scenes from the chef’s life, and a special section exclusive to VMHC that highlights Julia Child’s impact on Virginians.
St. Patrick’s Day Events
Choose from Richmond’s two big St. Paddy’s Day festivals, toast the luck o’ the Irish at Richmond’s favorite Irish pubs – Rosie Connolly’s, Siné, Rare Olde Times, and O’Toole’s – or visit a local brewery or cidery celebrating the day. Just be sure to wear green. Sláinte!
Church Hill Irish Festival
March 16 to 17, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., 25th & East Broad streets, Richmond
Entertainment, merchandise and food and drink vendors (including corned beef, cabbage, and mashed potatoes), Guinness tastings with the Guinness Ambassador, kids’ activities, Hill Topper 5k (March 16), and more.
Shamrock the Block

Yesterday and Today: The Interactive Beatles Experience
March 16, 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., at The Cultural Arts Center, Glen Allen
For each performance, the band presents songs chosen by the audience, weaving classic music with personal stories from the audience. Each show is different and interactive, highlighting The Beatles as the soundtrack to our lives.
New Works Festival by Studio Two
March 19 to 24 at Studio Theatre at Richmond Ballet, Richmond
Four modern and innovative creators choreograph an original work in just 25 hours, capped by performances.
