Keep it fresh, folks

Hop in the front seat this weekend for an almost-normal concert experience. See Carbon Leaf live at their drive-in show at The Diamond – it’s like listening to Carbon Leaf on the radio, but way better. Friday, July 31 at 8:45 p.m. at The Diamond.

Put on your finest Snuggie for Side by Side’s annual gala. Normally a springtime-in-person event, the now summertime-online occasion will still feature inspirational speakers, fabulous auction items, and – oh yeah – support for LGBTQ+ youth in central Virginia. Saturday, Aug. 1 at 7 p.m.

Chat about dogs, be around dogs, and support dogs: Ruff & Roll is here, and they’d loooove to meet your favorite four-legged Fido. Sunday, Aug. 2 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at River City Roll.

It’s National Farmers Market Week, which means it’s time to grab your Birkenstocks, hit up all of your favorite farmers markets, and fill up your reusable bag with fresh local produce grown by hard-working farmers. Sunday, Aug. 2 through Saturday, Aug. 8.

BLT lovers, great news: now your favorite sandwich is also good for charity. For a limited time, $1 from every Hanover Tomato BLT at Salt & Forge goes toward Richmond Food Justice Alliance. Bacon for a good cause? Yes, please.
