The human body in all its intricacies frequently turns on itself. Why? Why does the immune system self-destruct? Why do cells go rogue? What emotional processes have sway over our physical health? Why isn’t survival instinct enough?
These questions and more will be addressed in this live recording of Death Club Radio, the popular and unpredictable local radio show covering life, death, and all your peculiar questions. Host Alane Cameron Ford will be joined by co-host and quizzical Everyman Phil Ford, historian and producer Jack Johnson and the Death Club Radio Mimes on the Radio Players. Shows are appropriate for all ages.
New to Death Club? This radio show is in its fifth year of airing on WRIR 97.3 FM. It is a talk show about all things death, dying, grief and loss. Sometimes deep, other times provocative, often surprisingly cheerful listeners report feeling uplifted and enlightened.
The live show adds theatrical elements and audience involvement. It is far beyond just a taping of the show. Thanks to Firehouse Theatre, Death Club Radio Live becomes an altogether new experience. Expect science, humor, mimes, history, weirdness, hope, and the unexpected.
