A Taste of Virginia: Through the Garden Gate

Fans of the acclaimed original cookbook, A Taste of Virginia, have reason to celebrate. A new version has rolled out, giving a nod to its predecessor while adding a twist of its own as a seasonal journey through the culinary bounty of Virginia. The book includes 56 recipes, from members of the James River Garden Club and from the original edition, sprinkled among radiant photographs of scenic gardens throughout the state. Proceeds continue to underwrite the club’s mission of conservation, beautification, education and restoration projects in Virginia.

The Story of Virginia: Highlights from the Virginia Museum of History & Culture

Since its inception in 1831, the Virginia Museum of History and Culture has worked to preserve and commemorate the story of our state. And now its new book, The Story of Virginia: Highlights from the Virginia Museum of History & Culture, continues that preservation and celebration in hardback form. The book features 400 iconic objects, carefully chosen from the museum’s nine million artifacts collected during its nearly 200-year lifetime. Included are historic documents, maps, letters, pieces of furniture and firearms, each with brief descriptions, organized chronologically.

Richmond’s Main Street: Stories From the Wall Street of the South

Readers familiar with Richmond over recent decades will recognize familiar people and businesses in this collection of interviews.
