Virginia Tourism Awards 21 Local Music Festivals with Funds to Stimulate Economic Growth
There’s nothing like those long summer days in Virginia, filled with barbecues, good friends, and of course – music festivals.
Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC) has given sponsorships to 21 Virginia music festivals, a total of $201,550, as part of its 2018 Music Festival Sponsorship Program. The music festivals that received these sponsorships in 2017 reported 205,000 festival attendants, with around $34 million in economic impact to communities throughout the state. The goal of these grants is to promote the growth of Virginia music festivals, help stimulate the state’s economic growth, and to ensure that your summer is completely entangled with outdoor musical entertainment.
So pack up your sunglasses, folding lawn chair, and cooler full of your favorite warm-weather beverage.
